Aristotle believed excellence could best be characterized as a habit. People achieve excellence by repeatedly doing good actions until they become second nature. However, it is harder to do good actions than it is to do easy actions. This is why I choose to do easy actions.

Stoic philosophy has helped me very much to become the man I am today, and has given me the mental tools to focus on what I need to be doing. The question is: how does one stay undisturbed by externalities and focus on what one needs to be doing? Well, like everything worth doing in life, it takes time to be able to do it. It is a habit that must be cultivated, but once you have it, you can reap its rewards.
